New president sings with pop icon

Member news

Our incoming President Bob is, as members know, a keen singer. These days he sings regularly with the Crouch End Festival Chorus, one of London's most eclectic music groups. They can be found this year singing in music as varied as the Verdi Requiem at the Proms with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and in the soundtrack of the latest Disney blockbuster, Prince Caspian.

On June 18 and 19 Bob could be found at Hampton Court in concert with pop legend, Ray Davies, seen here at Glastonbury. Bob says it was one of the most exciting musical experiences of his life - the courtyard of Hampton Court was packed and by the end the whole audience were on their feet, singing, dancing and shouting for more.
